Each portrait is drawn entirely by hand using professional coloured pencils — layered slowly, with patience and care, until the details that make your pet unmistakably theirs come to life on paper. 1. Send your inquiry

Fill out the inquiry form below with your pet's name, the size you'd like, and a bit about them. Attach your favourite photo — or a few options.

2. We confirm your spot

Jennifer will review your photo and get back to you within 1–2 business days to confirm the details, discuss sizing and pricing, and secure your place in the commission queue.

3. Sketch check-in

Before the portrait is finished, you'll receive a sketch preview for your feedback. This is your chance to make sure everything feels right before the final layers go down.

4. Your portrait arrives

The finished piece is carefully packaged and shipped to your door. Most portraits are completed within 4–6 weeks of your commission being confirmed.

Photo Tips:
What makes a great reference photo

Clear, in-focus shot — the more detail Jennifer can see, the more detail ends up in the portrait

Natural light is best — avoid flash photos, which flatten features and wash out colour

A photo that captures their personality — mid-action, relaxed, or that look they always give you

Straight-on or slight angle works best — extreme side profiles can be tricky to capture expressively

What animals do you draw?

Dogs and cats are most common, but Jennifer has drawn horses, rabbits, birds, and more. If you have an unusual subject, just ask — she loves a challenge.

Can I include more than one pet?

Yes! Multi-pet portraits are available. Pricing varies depending on the number of subjects and size — mention it in your inquiry and Jennifer will provide a custom quote.

How long will it take?

Most portraits are completed within 4–6 weeks of the commission being confirmed. If you need it by a specific date (for a birthday or holiday), please mention this in your inquiry so Jennifer can advise.

Do you draw from photos of pets who have passed away?

Yes, and this is one of the most meaningful commissions Jennifer creates. A portrait is a beautiful way to honour a beloved companion. Older or lower-quality photos are welcome — just send what you have.

Do you ship internationally?
